A brand new week, here we go... Last week the market saw some upside, but then sold off strong on options expiration day Friday. This week we probably can expect some volatilty and continued downside for most of the week, if the not the whole week as the bearish market sentiment continues. We have the National Homebuilders Index for economic reports today. We have a big week for earnings this week, which will add heavy volatility. Apple and NFLX have their earnings calls this week, just to name a few. It looks like we will have a slight gap up or flat market open today. The market will more than likely be flat or may see some slight weakness as investors digest the strong selloff from last Friday.

For today, I will be bracketing the appropiate time periods, and watching for a trend day either way.

And Options Week volatility begins... Yesterday the market started off down for most of the day, then towards the close in the afternoon we saw a rebound to flat. Today we will probably see the market flat for the whole day as options prices settle into their expiration prices. We have Core CPI, CPI, Mich Sentiment for economic reports today. It looks like we will have a slight gap down or flat market open. The market will more than likely be flat all day today as option prices expire.

For today, I will be bracketing the appropiate time periods, and watching for a trend day either way.

Yesterday the market was flat all day as investors optimism started to fade after The Fed came out and announced a cut in their forecast for economic growth this year. Today we will probably start to see some weakness as bullish investors start to run out of gas. It looks like we will have a slight gap up or flat market open. The market will more than likely be flat or slightly to the downside today.

Wow, what a rally... Yesterday the market rallied strong the entire day off of upbeat earnings news. Last night Intel (INTC) beat it's earnings estimate and rallied in after hours trading. We will probably see a lift in technology stocks today due to the news. We have Retail Sales, Export Prices, Import Prices, Business Inventories, Crude Inventories, and the Fed Interest Rate Annoucement for economic reports today. It looks like we will have a slight gap up or flat market open. The market will probably be flat all day today leading up to the Fed Interest Rate Anouncement at 2pm, and then it will probably choose a direction and move strong into the close.

For today, I will be bracketing the appropiate time periods, and watching for a trend day either way.
